20th Anniversary Duluth, September 2017

Two night getaway to celebrate 20 years of marriage!
We've been together 25 years total and it's going by too fast!

Enger Tower and park in Duluth. Great view of the city.

 The Japanese peace bell.

Dined at the Duluth Grill. Just as good as everyone said including Guy Fieri.

Split a grass-fed American burger with sweet potato chips and onion rings w/bleu cheese.
Scott said it was the best burger he ever had.

They have an herb garden and cute outdoor decor along the parking lot.

Scott played a 18 hole disc golf course on Spirit Mountain. Never been to a ski resort w/out snow before. What a workout climbing those hills! Weather was nice and cool.
We really lucked out in the weather department all 3 days.

Shopping and fun in Canal Park -
As the shirt reads "Ride to Live"

Waters of Superior Art Gallery and Gift store.
I really liked this painting on metal.
...almost bought this
It's always fun to watch the Ore boats come in
Park Point beach, its right after the drive across the aerial bridge.
Love all the sand! Extremely windy on the point.
Dinner • Enchilada's at Little Angie's Cantina

 Leif Erickson gardens in Duluth

PortLand Malt Shoppe, Duluth. Shared a moose tracks malt, worth the $7. -or should we have gone to Super One and gorged on a 1/2 gallon for $5.?
Stayed one night at an Airbnb, Eric Klepinger's place in Two Harbors.
Really interesting, friendly guy. He's an artist so we had lots to talk about. He also grew up in Minnetonka area so he and Scott reminisced.

Eric and his cat Tawny.

We had our special dinner out at Ledge Rock Grille in Two Harbors.
Everything was delicious. Only 1 foodie pic since Scott said "enough photo's". Fine.

Breakfast at the Vanilla Bean in Two Harbors.
Yummy blueberry crepes and western omelet.
I was wondering why our waiter was dressed so nice, turns out he is the owner.

Stopped at Lake Superior Art Glass. Doug Becker from East Bethel had some cute birds for sale there! We've been to his open house before so it was fun to see an artist's work we recognized.
Scott was drooling over owner Dan Neff's marvelous marbles.
They take 8-10 hours to create with no breaks. $400. + for the large size.
