SCARF LADDER

A few years back we pulled some logs out of the lake that a
busy Beaver had eaten all the bark off. We let them dry and they sat in the shop for quite a while before I figured out something to create with them.
Yes, I have a lot of scarves I know,
but I'm a Minnesota girl and they really help keep you warm!

recent crafts

We received a lot of hardware from a friend and my Dad.
Thought this would be a cute way to showcase them.

Plastic pot for our Norfolk pine upstairs that needs to be repotted.
I was going for a patina look.

A copy cat version from Primitives by Kathy.
I thought $28 ?? I'll make one myself.
Ended up making 6 for gift giving.

Pizza Party!

Our wonderful friends Scott & Diane had some friends and family over for homemade pizza's.
We each made our own which baked in about 5 minutes since the brick oven was 600°.
Scott T. is a total foodie ~ fresh mozzarella from Cossetta's, andouille sausage, Alligator(!)...
there were toppings I've never heard of, like the thinly sliced meat on the left,
I thought it was Prosciuttos...wrong
(and sorry, we can't remember what it is)
It was so nice to be by a warm fire
on a day the high was only 10°!

Log Wood Burnings

Currently priced at $12, $15 & $18

I just started experimenting with burning the edges with a torch...it's fun!
Did you know I'm a pyromaniac? FIRE FIRE FIRE!

We cut down Poplar and Birch from the cabin
and peel it when still wet with a draw blade.
Then let it dry for a good while before cutting into the candle holders.

I cut them into various sizes, sand the edges
and then drill the hole for the tea light candle.
