Bathroom Vanity & other projects

Wendy has been busy painting...but not the "fun" creative kind. Jerry (Dad) built this awesome armoire (doors not shown).

Scott has been hard at work building a pine rustic bathroom vanity. Even built his own raised panel doors.

Finished piece. Scott also made the mirror and the towel rack. 

I wood burnt some pinecone branches on it.

Downstairs Bathroom & Guest Bedroom

Doesn't that just look inviting? Dena helped me decorate and was also the first guest to hunker down.

With the basement guest bedroom completed a bathroom would be nice. Wendy painted the walls with the Woolie. Scott varnished all the pine andhas the ceiling done. Also laid down Warm Tiles electric floor warming systemto keep your toe's toasty after the sauna. Now Scott is laying the tile. Check back later for more updates.

Progress at Nickel & Dime Ranch

In order to make our masonry fireplace more effecient Scott and Jerry built this fireplace insert. They welded 1/4" plate steel in Jerry's shop- it took about 5 days. It has four 100cfm fans to blow hot air thru the heat exchangers.
Now all we have to do is cut a lot of wood next fall and paint the brick wall a fresh updated color!

Finally installed. This beast really pumps out the heat!

New addition to the Nickel & Dime Ranch last Sept. 2009.

Simon and his brother Tibby were found in box on the side of

a country road. My friend and I couldn't fathom the thought

of these two adorable kittens going to the human society so

we each took one home. He's hilarious, sweet and sort of cross-eyed.

He might be blind in one eye- the Vet couldn't say for sure. It

would take a visit to a kitty Opthamologist (sounds spendy). He's our

special little guy and the eye doesn't seem to be a problem.

Wool felted mittens my Mom and I make from old sweaters.
