Visited Silver Bay (Black Beach), Beaver Bay,
Two Harbors, Duluth and Superior, WI
Stayed at Superior Bay Boutique Motel Unit #10
Decided to forgo the hotel scene. Loved pulling up to our room and unloading our crap instead of checking in and luggin our suitcases upstairs.
It was cute, clean and cozy.

Dined at Shorty's Pizza and Smoked Meat Restaurant, Superior, WI.
They were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.
We ordered the Triple D pizza and omg! so good.
Went to the Lester River Rendezvous 2018 ~
Re-enactors played the parts of voyageurs and did demo's of what it was like to be early frontier settler, demonstrating the skills such as blacksmithing, weaving, tin, tanning and candle-making.
Also had live bands, artisan/craft vendors and food!
We hiked the trails afterwards, Scott carrying our single purchase -
a vintage tin can w/ a plasma cut Halloween ghoul.
You can place a candle in the base to light.

Sunday ~ Drive up to Two Harbors, Silver Bay and Beaver Bay.
First stop ~ Blue Skies Glassworks, Two Harbors
They had a fire, hot coffee, lots of baked goodies and Mead. Was great to meet and talk with both the artists, get a demo and see Mike's home.

Big Manitou Falls is a waterfall on the Black River, a tributary of the Nemadji River. The falls are within Pattison State Park in Douglas County, WI, about 13 miles south of Superior. At 165 feet, Big Manitou Falls is the highest waterfall in Wisconsin.
